This is great. (I always thought dead!Nathan would make a great Dixie Flatline to Finch's Case - with Reese as Molly, of course.)

A plot bunny very close to this prompt has been hopping around my brain for a little bit. Hopefully I'll be able to get him to hop on the page soon.

BTW, how weird are we that we both found that intubation scene so incredibly erotic????? All I could think about during it was "OMG how f*ckingly intimate/erotic is that?"

Re: One Way Glass (Finch/Reese) - explicit - consent issues

God, I love a good 'made to fuck' story! Ummmm, is that bad? Ah, who cares? This was absolutely awesome!

Re: Logan Pierce/Reese hookup, Finch/Reese UST, Voyeur Finch

(Anonymous) 2013-04-13 04:45 am (UTC)(link)
Awesome!!! I hope I get to read it. Phew, I glad I'm not the only one! I'll admit I got a bit flustered watching Reese intensely focused on sliding a long cylindrical object down Logan throat, and then proceed to blow into it. So of course, I immediately watched it again and again.

Wonder if this could be a literal interpretation of a blow-job scene?

This might not be everything you wanted, but I wrote this a little while ago and it fits the bottom!Reese/top!Finch quota. That's definitely my headcanon for them, y'know, a sub (Reese) who is super happy knowing that he's completely and totally owned...

ANYWAY. I wrote this thing. I'll probably write more in this vein. This particular post, the reason the beginning is in italics, is because it was inspired by this post.

When the mood strikes me, I'll definitely be writing more.

Re: You Can Drive My Car (Finch/Reese)

(Anonymous) 2013-04-13 03:06 pm (UTC)(link)
I tried to steer my mind towards 'doing it on the backseat', but it's late and my mind decided to fixate on the smile (I may have stared at the gif for too long), so all I came up with was this surreal bit of conversation. headdesk. I will apologise and wait for someone else to do a better job. But meanwhile...

---

Reese glanced in the back mirror. Finch had put on his seatbelt and was smiling discreetly, evidently riding the thrill of another Number saved, expression a little loose from the alcohol they had served in the Convention. The Number had been a remarkably talented one: he was saved by his own hacking skills as well as Finch's, and Reese had to give the man credit for being able to at least follow Finch's handiwork. Finch was always excited to meet a fellow geek, though he would never carry over the enthusiasm after the case had closed, but it was not yet tomorrow.
"You took three...right turns," Finch says, suddenly, meeting his eye in the mirror.
"Pardon?" Reese murmurs.
"Three right turns," Finch repeats, small smile bearing a hint of curiosity now, "which takes us back to where we started. Are you lost, Mr. Reese?"
Reese contemplates on how best to give the answer. "No," he says after a while, then with a coy arch of the brow, "Has it never occurred to you that you haven't actually told me where you live?"
"Details, Mr. Reese," Finch replies, with a drawn out 'd', and Reese realises Finch might have been more drunk than he lets on. The guy did have about five tequila shots in order to con the password out of fellow hackers, after all. And then a celebratory toast after he'd won the fastest and simplest code to break a specifically designed game firewall.
"Finch?" he tries again, careful to veer a left this time. Finch seems unperturbed by the aimless wandering in New York traffic, which was dying down as the hour approach midnight.
"The city," Finch announces suddenly, "is like a circuit board."
Reese frowns.
"Electrons flowing in a single direction," Finch continues, tapping the window once to signal passing cars. "Through switches" - a nod towards the traffic lights - "to arrive at the power source."
"Okay," Reese says slowly. He ponders about this for a minute. Then, "I always thought the city after dark was a lot like the sea."
"Oh?" Finch straightens a little in his seat, "How so?"
Reese flicks his gaze towards the side mirror. "Headlights. Like that fish in the deep sea with a lightbulb in front of his head - waiting for the prey to come towards the light."
"Melanocetus johnsonii," Finch announces, with an unwarranted dramatic flair. Reese's lips twitch. One day Finch is going to refer to the Numbers as homo sapiens and then he'd have to put his foot down, but before that? The tiny curve that dons Finch's lips, half carefully smug and half inwardly pleased, that alone is enough.
"It depends on how you look at it," Finch continues, as if they had been having a meaningful conversation. Reese turns his attention back to the road.
"How I look at what?"
"The light," Finch says, voice falling to the quiet and mesmerising. "Some say the prey come towards it, others see the fish chasing after it."
Reese huffs a laugh. "I think the fangs speak for itself, Finch."
A strange look passes Finch's face, then he breathes a sigh. "Yes, I suppose they do."
They are at a cross section now - the traffic is thinning. Three cars veered off to the right, while two went straight ahead; Reese takes his time in the queue. The slowing in motion prompts Finch's attention back to the road, and Reese watches him as he watches the passing traffic, quieter at this hour.
"And where do all the anglerfish go?" Finch asks suddenly, reverting his eyes to the driver's seat. Curious and tender; just a hint of being haunted in the lingering shadow of the streetlight.
"Home, I suppose," Reese replies.
"Home," Finch repeats, a little drunk on the word. The expression softens, opens up, decompresses; the lines around his eyes fade. In the mirror Finch closes his eyes again, half a smile tugging at his lips, looking like he's silently humming to a tune that only he knows. Home. Reese smiles a little, too, and takes the right turn that will lead them back to theirs.

---

I mean... I don't even know. Anglerfishes aren't even the most pretty kind of fish. So WHY. *facepalm* Do excuse my brain.
Hope you aren't too weirded out by this, love all of your POI fics, they are amazing <3

So half way through ep 1x10 (Number Crunch) Finch is floored by a bomb. I'd love to see what happens in between that and when we next see our dynamic due back at the library.

The layout on that page makes it impossible for me to read. Damn! It really sounds like my thing.

As with the anon above, I cannot read this story due to the formatting as my eyesight is problematic at best.

It's a pity as it does sound like something that may have been relevant to my interests.

I'm afraid I have to third this. Tiny red font on a translucent background with a blinking animation behind it? That's pretty much a recipe for a headache for me. I can't even focus on the text, much less read it.

Please please please drop a note here if you've posted this anywhere else. I'd hate to miss out on a good fic!

Ensemble cast - post-apocalyptic survival

(Anonymous) 2013-04-14 01:37 am (UTC)(link)
My favorite part of apocalypse stories is when the immediate crisis is over and the survivors have to band together & think about surviving long-term in the post-apocalyptic world. I would love to see Reese & Finch in this kind of situation, maybe along with Shaw, Fusco, Carter, Zoe, Leon, or some combination of those characters along with other random people, where after a zombie apocalypse or nuclear destruction or otherdimensional invasion, they have to create a community as best they can. (Pairing is up to you but I'd enjoy Reese/Finch, Reese/Carter, Finch/Shaw, Finch/Fusco, Reese/Zoe, or any/assorted...)

Womp! Ahahaha I've been meaning to change my theme for a while now, but my HTML wizard is currently sick with the flu, sorry about that. I changed it to something basic, bigger font for better reading, too.

Thanks!

Their new number is a vampire but he/she is the victim

[personal profile] verovare 2013-04-14 06:35 am (UTC)(link)
I have no preference for what kind of vampire they are, but they are living a quiet life with a job, neighbors and a regular but discret suply of blood from the hospital.

I want John feeling astoshinement when he discover that the aggresors are trying to burn the house and kill the victim with wood stacks!

FILL: Power Corrupts (Elias/Reese) [Mature] [Dub-con] [WIP, 1/?]

(Anonymous) 2013-04-14 08:12 am (UTC)(link)
Started to take a crack at this one. Loved the prompt and not sure I can do it justice, so hopefully someone else will be inspired to give it a try as well. This picks up during their first conversation in the episode, when John is brought before Elias and the hood is removed.

----------

“I won’t work for you, Elias. I won’t hurt anyone for you.”

“Is that your line, John? The one you won’t cross? That’s fine, I can work with that. There are plenty of other things you can do for me.”

Reese kept his gaze steady on the relaxed man in front of him, his lips compressed into a grim line, his body tense and closed off. The silence stretched out between the two men like an elastic band, the tension seeming to build until it was ready to snap. One of the muscled thugs who had hooded and escorted Reese here shifted restlessly next to him, uncomfortable in the suddenly edgy atmosphere.

“No skin off my back either way, John,” Elias finally said pleasantly, turning away with a careless wave of his hand. “I’m sure you can find your own way back to the city once you pick those cuffs. I sincerely wish you the best of luck with your little predicament. Let’s go gentlemen.”

“Wait,” John choked out; his quiet voice seemed to rattle its way reluctantly from his ribcage. “What do you want?”

“It’s not really about what I want, John,” Elias said almost fondly, turning once again and taking a single step back towards where the other man stood restrained. “It’s about what you’re willing to give to me. And? What are you willing to give for my assistance with this matter?”

“I don’t have time for games, Elias. Just tell me what it’ll take.”

John was beginning to feel that tightness in his chest he recognized well, a feeling he thought he’d left behind in his old life. The intuition that told him this mission would be one that would chip another piece off his already battered soul; add another layer of filth to his already stained hands.

“Sure, John. We’re both busy men. Let me as straight-forward as possible. If you get down on your knees, unfasten my pants and suck my dick… willingly and enthusiastically swallow everything I give you, that’ll buy you the information you’re looking for.”

The sound his throat made while swallowing seemed louder than a gunshot in the following expectant silence. He tried to keep his face blank… as empty as a white sheet of paper, but from the way Elias was quirking an eyebrow at him, he had doubts as to his success there. Working for Finch really had softened him in these past months. He wasn’t sure where this sudden visceral disgust and denial was coming from. It’s not like he was too good for this. He had done worse things for far less worthy reasons in the past. Far, far worse.

Keep him talking, his mind prompted him. Keep him distracted. Find the opening you need to accomplish your objective.

“Why Elias, I had no idea your tastes ran in this direction. What would your network think? Pretty sure this sort of thing is still frowned upon in your circles.” While the tone made a valiant effort to match a familiar light, teasing inflection, there was too much strain to make it believable.

“Oh, don’t sell yourself short, you’re a singularly striking man. I’m certain there have been hundreds who have fantasized about getting you into this very position,” Elias retorted easily, placing his hands on his belt and toying with the loose end absently. “But, it’s not about taste or sexual preference, John, you should know that. It’s about power. Who has it, and what they’re willing to do with it.”

“What guarantee do I have you’ll follow through with your end?” John asked, his voice almost… almost hitching. Both men knew his decision was already as good as made.

“None, John,” Elias said gently, “Just my word. Now come over here. As you pointed out, we’re busy men, and you’ve got an appointment to get to once we’re done here.”

John felt like every joint was rusted over and every bone in his body was made of brittle glass, but he forced one foot to move forward, then the other until he stood directly in front of the other man. He could only meet Elias’s expectant gaze for a few moments before he had to slide his eyes away. He slid down to his knees, showing no reaction to the harsh jolt as he met the ground ungracefully, focusing his eyes on the belt buckle directly in his line of sight now.

This was just another mission. He had performed similar tasks many, many times before. More times than not violence was not the most effective point of entry for an objective. Kara had taken an almost perverse level of enjoyment out of personally preparing him for these sorts of missions before she had agreed he was ready for the training wheels to come off. She’d insisted on Mark being brought in as well to put him through his paces for that alternate perspective. Between the two of them, they had been extremely… comprehensive in their training.

This was nothing. This was just business as usual. Something he had done dozens of times in the service of men and women just as corrupt as the one standing in front of him now.

His stomach rolled and his skin crawled in an instinctive denial of the situation, despite his attempted rationalizations. But, Finch had… he was… As his mind stuttered to a halt, he suddenly pictured a smiling child. Leila. That innocent baby girl was worth this and so much more. This could hardly even be considered a sacrifice.

His hands were reaching up and unfastening the belt before he could second-guess himself again.

Prompt ~ irreconcilable differences

(Anonymous) 2013-04-14 08:22 am (UTC)(link)
Finch makes a call in the field that Reese doesn't agree with. He goes along with it out of habit but it eats away at him. Major brooding. He confronts Finch about it and Finch remembers Nathan walking away from him in the exact same way and he falls apart.
