I really want to read about Reese's first experiences with men. And I want them to be totally downlow. And I want him to wear his Rangers uniform.

omg one could even be with Booth (Bones crossover).

+1 - especially with BOTH options :D

Someone connects Norman Burdett & Harold Wren

(Anonymous) 2013-04-14 10:14 am (UTC)(link)
Someone connects Norman Burdett, paralegal on the security tapes from the evidence locker robbery in Mission Creep, and Harold Wren, insurance underwriter who was conveniently at the bank in Shadow Box (although they won't have video there because Finch switches off the CCTV).

It's rather suspicious that an identical guy under two different names was involved in two incidents linked strongly to the 'Man in the Suit'.

Could be either an AU with Donnelly (How would Reese react if Finch was taken into custody as well?) or someone looking through the files later who puts the pieces together.

Reese/Finch or gen, please.

This isn't a fill. Since my brain is perverse it went straight to what you asked not to get and ignored the rest (which I think is a cool idea and someone should write it). This is all I have and I'm not finishing it, but for what it's worth:

It was the oddity of the Machine's forming a number from An Essay Concerning Human Understanding, Dialogues Concerning Natural Religion, and Émile, or On Education that first caught Harold's attention. Distracted and feeling indulgent and full of doughnuts, he let John track down the social's owner.

"Her name's Alexandra Rousseau," he reported. "Twenty-six. Has a PhD in history from Yale, lives in California but…" -- keys tapping -- "she's in town interviewing for a job at Columbia. Wonder if she's the victim or the perpetrator. How competitive is the academic world, Harold?"

"It can be cut-throat, Mr. Reese--" he began to say, and suddenly a hundred deaths slammed into his mind: throats cut, indeed; throats choking on poison gas; gunshots after gunshots; and the visceral sensation of stabbing one man in the chest and strangling another with a piece of rope. He staggered and clutched the desk.

"You all right, Harold?" and John was in front of him, grabbing his arms, face full of concern.

"I'm fine; I just…"

John let go and studied him a moment longer. "Do you… know this woman?"

"No," he said, but there was a face in his mind: smiling, snarling, pleading for her life. "Mr. Reese, if you would…"

"I'm on it." John slipped into his suit jacket, started for the door.

"Bring her here," Harold said, and John froze.

"What? I don't think that's--"

"Just do what I say," and another voice lurked behind his usual mild tone, a voice accustomed to command and persuasion and untruth. Not so terribly different from his own, then. "Go," and John went.

He sat for an hour waiting for them to return, staring at the face on the computer screen, remembering in flashes and then in agonizing chunks, knowing how her eyes would widen and her mouth move as she spoke to name him. "Dr. Linus!" she would say, all happiness and surprise, and then the joy would flit away and her expression alter as she remembered too.

And yeah, I also think they're very different people. But still, becoming Harold Finch would be an interesting kind of redemption.

Fox Mulder hears about "the man in a suit" and him and Scully go to NY to investigate.
Finch has heard of the special agent and knows his wild theories often turn out to be true so he decides to play it safe by putting them on a false lead.

Or well, anything that would result in Mulder and Scully meeting Reese and Finch (except maybe alien abduction).

Slight Reese/Finch would be enjoyable.

Reese/Finch You can only save one

(Anonymous) 2013-04-14 08:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Finch somehow gets into a potentially deadly situation and when Reese comes to save him he realizes he can only save one: Finch or their latest number.
He chooses to save Finch.

Afterwards, EITHER Reese himself is having a hard time accepting that he's responsible for the other person's death, OR Finch is not happy with his decision although he's grateful (or BOTH?).

I just want lots of angst and a conflicted Reese (and Finch).

Thank you for the un-fill! I made the request in part as a reaction to the crossovers already out there, almost all of which cast Ben as Finch. Your approach is something I could get behind (amnesia excuses many sins).

I wonder who Reese could have been in LOST-land if he got wrapped up so close to Ben in the flash-sideways?

Finch spends the next week in a daze. The passage of time does not always feel real; sometimes, he feels as though part of him is still in the library, freshly shocked to see Reese. Yet time does pass, and lives do continue to need saving. Perhaps it

Reese, for his part, seems subdued.

in a coffee shop - they're both watching a couple of students who, it is eventually surmised, are not a couple, but rather, two friends fighting their very obvious attraction to each other. Knees constantly knocking together under the counter, one's hands continuously hover over the other's shoulders, never quite touching, always jumping away just before contact. Their eyes slide over each other, looking at the places where their t-shirts ride up.

These hopelessly-in-love friends are in danger, as it turns out, because the barista - one of those espresso competition trophy-holders - has mistaken one of them for a rival from another café. He only means to make the poor youth ill; he can't know about the allergy.

Finch, in an effort to focus on work, is taking a more hands-on approach today, giving Reese moment-by-moment directions. Finch's voice is nearly constant in Reese's ear, telling him to

"move your right arm upwards so that his eyes follow your hand - yes - and grasp the purgative with your left hand - yes - now say "do you have Sweet Tooth, from Ritual Roasters?" - when he starts ranting, replace the missing purgative bottle with the second identical bottle - good. That was satisfactory. Mr Reese, you may leave"

Reese, docile, heads towards the door. But he looks up towards one of the surveillance cameras before leaving and Finch sees his flushed face, his dilated pupils.

Finch feels rather worked up himself. Those students, he thinks, their chemistry, something about it…

But he knows it's not really about the students. He's had a theory about this for a long time, has just put off looking for evidence.

Alone, in the darkened library, Harold digs up some security footage. Part of him knows what he is going to see, but he is apprehensive all the same. He generally tries to erase any video feeds in which he can be seen - and the machine often does it for him - but he knows where to look for some footage of the both he and Reese together.

It's all there. The way Reese moves around Finch. The way he responds to Finch telling him what to do. The way Reese looks at him when he thinks Finch isn't paying attention.

FILL: Touch, Reese/Finch, Teen, 7/7

(Anonymous) 2013-04-14 11:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Finch doesn't look up from the computer screen when Reese walks in the door. He doesn't say anything. They're being quiet.

Reese picks up a book, is paging through it, when Finch steps up behind him. Finch crowds him, up against the bookcase, and puts his hands on Reese's back. He says "continue reading, Mr Reese. Don't turn around."

Reese feels him running his hands down his back. It's like being on a job - having Finch in his ear, hearing only his voice, not being able to see him, but being watched by him. Reese lets it happen.

He feels Finch's breath at the nape of his neck; feels relief wash over him, like something pent-up has come undone.

Suddenly, Finch's left hand comes up to his throat and pulls back, while the right palms his crotch. Reese thrusts up against Finch's hand, breathing unevenly.

"Keep still, Mr Reese" Finch murmurs into his ear, and undoes his trouser fly, one-handed. John stills, erection straining against Finch's hand.

"Good. Good. Now close your eyes, and get down on your knees" Finch tells him, voice calm, as though instructing John to break into an apartment building and disarm a security alarm. Reese gets down to his knees, unhesitating. He's already let Harold take over his life, really.

Finch blindfolds him, and then John hears him moving one of the armchairs, and then - rustling.

"Come, Mr Reese."

John crawls towards Finch's voice, and finds him sitting, pants open, obscene. John - aching, overcome - takes him all the way down. Saliva dribbles down between Finch's legs, and John licks the skin below Finch's shaft, puts his tongue as far as it can reach. Finch's scent wafts up to John, like earth and sweat and intimate, personal things John never thought Finch would share with him.

John moves his mouth up and down on Finch's erection, sucking it, making his throat muscles work around it. He wants to cover himself with the taste of Finch's body, with the smell. He whimpers, and Finch moves a leg, pressing it against John, and John ruts up against it.

Soon, Finch pushes down on John's head, choking him, and comes in his throat with a gasp.

John, spent, rests his head on Finch's lap.

"John", Finch says. "John." He pulls the blindfold off. John does not want to look up - does not want to see what Finch thinks of his filthiness and submission. Does not want to know if Finch only wants to use him and throw him away. He knows he is only a tool in Harold Finch's mission but he -

"John" Finch says, gently. Reese lifts his head. Finch's eyes are huge - "oh, John" he says, helpless, and bends down to kiss him.

Heh, and I just finished watching all of LOST for the first time, actually, so I hadn't read any crossovers. But it is sort of irresistible trying to get it to work.

I can't really see Reese as anyone but a security goon or a mercenary, obeying orders to his doom. If you let him have his head he'd throw the balance off big time.

[personal profile] lazulisong 2013-04-15 01:58 am (UTC)(link)
a short tumblr fill because GUS IS A DICK. i might do more later but I thought OP would like to see it too.

John as a wolf is very slightly silvered around his muzzle and a darker grey-black about the color of wetly burning wood-smoke everywhere else; his ruff is thick enough to bury Harold’s hand in soft, coarse fur and he is so tall that his shoulder reaches Harold’s waist. He’s sitting on his haunches beside Harold, watching Elias with unreadable eyes. He might be a statue, but if Elias moves within a certain distance of Harold, a low growl rumbles in his throat, a growl more vibration than actual sound.

Elias smiles benignly, keeps out of the radius John has chosen. “John’s control is very good,” he says. “I’ve never seen one of his type so calm on the full moon.”

John’s lip curls back to show just a hint of fang. Elias might be able to attack Harold before John brings him down, but John will bring him down for it, and Elias won’t survive long enough to see if he would change with the bite. Harold says, “He is always very composed,” and drops his hand on John’s head, curling his hand around his hard skull.

identity fraud

(Anonymous) 2013-04-15 07:20 am (UTC)(link)
Finch doesn't introduce himself to John as Finch but as one of his other identities (Wren, Burdett, Gull...) He lets John discover things about that identity and not Finch.

Over time he begins to regret the deceptions.
