Finch is frustrated that Reese won't do more than kiss.

Somehow while she is trying to communicate with it, the Machine downloads its intelligence into her head. How will Reese & Finch deal with the Machine when it can walk around and talk to them?

Greer's infiltrator AI (Decima) infects Finch's Machine (Aurora) but Greer and Decima Corp. don't gain control of the infected systems the way they expected to, and the Machine is known to be functioning as normal again. Did they acquire awareness of each other and make peace? Is the Machine an Observer-Infiltrator hybrid AI now? What happened?

This assumes A LOT about interpretation of current canon and future developments but I think it could be interesting for anyone who wants to attempt to write a little Machine luurrve story.

I love idea that Finch decided that one set of Reese and his covers should be married. (Maybe after not being able to see John when he was hospitalized.) As part of their new cover, they buy the apartment where they take Monica Jacob in Trojan Horse. Despite Reese's teasing, he's bothered by the fact Monica was offered a job with IFT, so he finds himself back at the new apartment/safe house to brood. Harold comes 'home' and they end up having a heated discussion. In the end, their married covers become a lot less fictional (and their primary covers).

John doesn't realize Harold thinks it's just sex until after their first time has passed. But if that's what Harold wants, all Harold wants, he can do that. He'd do anything for Harold.

Root is actually a Doll, and the Dollhouse is yet another shadowy corrupt organization after the Machine.

So I have been introducing a friend to PoI (the second one this year! yay!) and just before we watched 'Baby Blue' I was like, "OH! This is the one where they steal a baby!" and she was like, "What?! WHO STEALS A BABY?!" and I assured her it was amazing and then we spent the whole episode making fun of Harold's and (especially) John's 'how do babby work' behavior...anyway, she even noticed that they were totally married, and brought up how ridiculous having the two of them as parents would be: "Could you imagine trying to bring a guy home?! Finch would have the poor dude's social security number and bank info and that time he forgot to return a library book in the fourth grade and meanwhile Reese would just be standing there. Looming. Ominously."

So now I want that fic, maybe something in the future where they have Leila or idk maybe another kid ~~who they probably also stole~~ and they're starting to date. And it is ridiculous. Give me overprotectiveness and poor boundaries and the daughter (or son, because you know they'd be just as bad with a boy, their ridiculousness does not discriminate) being like OH MY GOD YOU TWO ARE IMPOSSIBLE AUNT JOSS PLEASE TELL MY FATHERS TO STOP STALKING MY DATES.

Please?

... The fun thing about a kink meme is I keep thinking of great tropes that I love and then applying them to PoI and going OMG AMAZING. So you know that trope where someone is a ghost. Can someone write a story where Finch recruits Reese for the mission, but... one of them is a ghost? (Could be gen or shippy.)

Finch notices that Reese has a submission kink & is willing to accommodate it, but (for whatever reason) is reluctant to make things overtly sexual (or even very physical between the two of them. And let's not even think about talking about bringing romantic feelings into it...)

But over time Finch can't keep his distance and things get messy and confusing and finally they have to work it out.

I was just struck with the idea of Finch's injuries we see in the show being such that he ends up a shellperson in a Brainship ... and of course Reese is his Brawn.

Some days Reese still drinks too much when he's off the clock (for reasons of your own choice). But the machine waits for no man and a number comes in after a few drinks too many.

One of my favourite tropes.

Finch wanders off from the hospital with amnesia and Reese is freaking out looking for him.

Bonus points if Finch turns up at Reese's apartment "remembering" that they're happily married. Cue angst as Reese gets everything he wants dangled in his face but can't take it.

Reese doesn't really spend any of the money Finch pays him, not on stuff for his loft or just whatever else he could want, and lives rather frugally. Finch wonders why.

Inspired by this awesome gifset by redfar:

John is Harold's driver (could be an AU or could be on a case). They end up having sex in the back seat.

I watched Bury the Lede again tonight and it made me want a story where for some number related reason Finch has to play Cyrano to Reese only their feelings get accidentally revealed in the process.

Reese randomly hooks up with Pierce after taking care of a number. Logan seduces Reese with a line like "how many people can say a they've recieved a blowjob by a billionaire."

Finch calls in the middle with a new number. Reese answers raggedly saying he'll be there soon, and hangs up. Reese gets even more turned on hearing Finch's voice. Logan notices and teases him.

Finch overrides Reese's phone because he's concerned, and overhears.

Kudos for either referring or dialogue addressing erotic intubation during One Percent episode. :D

so a number is going to be killed at Comic-Con or an anime convention or something, and some combination of the main characters have to dress up in order to infiltrate without being recognized.

omg I don't want to co-opt the ghost prompt but wouldn't it be awesome if Harold wrote a Nathan AI after his death (or wrote him into the Machine itself maybe). I just really want him to obsessively 'talk' to Nathan via terminal when no one else is around, please.

Finch and Reese watching Lost together and Reese commenting on Ben Linus's character. Then he proceeds to remove Finch's glasses and you decide what happens next. Can be established relationship or first time, whatever makes it easier. Preferably smut but up to you obvs! <3

Alternatively, just the duo watching any show and commenting, really. Especially other crime fighting shows, offering their own expertise as comments. Domestic fluff abound!

So half way through ep 1x10 (Number Crunch) Finch is floored by a bomb. I'd love to see what happens in between that and when we next see our dynamic due back at the library.

Peter and El have a golden retriever, Satchmo. Sometimes Mozzie "borrows" Satchmo. Would love to see Mozzie & Finch having a chat at the dog park...

My favorite part of apocalypse stories is when the immediate crisis is over and the survivors have to band together & think about surviving long-term in the post-apocalyptic world. I would love to see Reese & Finch in this kind of situation, maybe along with Shaw, Fusco, Carter, Zoe, Leon, or some combination of those characters along with other random people, where after a zombie apocalypse or nuclear destruction or otherdimensional invasion, they have to create a community as best they can. (Pairing is up to you but I'd enjoy Reese/Finch, Reese/Carter, Finch/Shaw, Finch/Fusco, Reese/Zoe, or any/assorted...)

I have no preference for what kind of vampire they are, but they are living a quiet life with a job, neighbors and a regular but discret suply of blood from the hospital.

I want John feeling astoshinement when he discover that the aggresors are trying to burn the house and kill the victim with wood stacks!

Finch makes a call in the field that Reese doesn't agree with. He goes along with it out of habit but it eats away at him. Major brooding. He confronts Finch about it and Finch remembers Nathan walking away from him in the exact same way and he falls apart.
